Burberry Prorsum 2010 pre-collection. Lovely stuff.
F.Tape brings us a preview of the Louis Vuitton A/W ‘10 ad campaign, nice and early! Shot by the ever talented Steven Meisel.
Marc Jacobs, had this to say to F.Tape:
“The strength of Louis Vuitton is its almost magical ability to reinvent itself every season,” says Artistic Director Marc Jacobs. “Last season was all about the idea of the New Age traveler. This season was a manifesto for beautiful, ladylike clothes. Two different collections, two different campaigns, but one Louis Vuitton.”
I, however, find this campaign to be a mote… lacklustre. The image is cluttered and looks messy rather than nicely busy. The colour palette is obvious and the whole thing seems to be lacking any imagination. I’m not sure what the message is. A real shame as Louis Vuitton have been doing some beautiful Ad Campaigns with Meisel for a while now.

After all was said and done, everyone has slowly been getting used to the idea of Lee McQueen never putting a new collection out for us to gently gasp at as we marvel at his talent and prowess as a designer.

This beautiful collection, entitled “Officers Muse” shown at Paris Fashion Week combines beautiful dresses, lace and military styles to create a thoroughly gorgeous collection.
