Just a damn good photo, really.
Burberry Prorsum 2010 pre-collection. Lovely stuff.
Always love Hedi Slimane’s work.
F.Tape brings us a preview of the Louis Vuitton A/W ‘10 ad campaign, nice and early! Shot by the ever talented Steven Meisel.
Marc Jacobs, had this to say to F.Tape:
“The strength of Louis Vuitton is its almost magical ability to reinvent itself every season,” says Artistic Director Marc Jacobs. “Last season was all about the idea of the New Age traveler. This season was a manifesto for beautiful, ladylike clothes. Two different collections, two different campaigns, but one Louis Vuitton.”
I, however, find this campaign to be a mote… lacklustre. The image is cluttered and looks messy rather than nicely busy. The colour palette is obvious and the whole thing seems to be lacking any imagination. I’m not sure what the message is. A real shame as Louis Vuitton have been doing some beautiful Ad Campaigns with Meisel for a while now.

And see the full editorial here. Love to see the lighting set up for these pics, beautiful. Ville is really good with pastel tones and gentle colours.
A Single Man, by Tom Ford.
The story is beautiful, the acting is perfect for the movie, the music is sensational, the styling beautiful and the cinematography… is absolutely stunning. When they say any still could be for an editorial or an advertising campaign, they aren’t kidding.
The careful balance of saturation as the emotions rise and fall throughout the film, the changes in colour to signify the different pulls on the character, it is all beautifully considered and executed. Well worth a watch.
By Lachlan Bailey. Strangely lovely editorial. Not sure what draws me to it.. Full editorial on Fashion Gone Rogue.
